Raiffeisen Trainee

In October 2003 Raiffeisen Bank Romania launched Raiffeisen Trainee Programme, for the first time within Raiffeisen Group Program, programme which included 8 fresh graduates. The programme  was a real success, which determined the bank's management to offer new opportunities to young graduates  who wish to be part of Raiffeisen Trainee Programme.

Here's what Steven van Groningen, President of Raiffeisen Bank Romania, stated at the launch of the first edition of the Raiffeisen Trainee Programme in 2003: "Each of these 8 graduates is going to have an opportunity to get to know Raiffeisen Bank in detail and are going intern in most of the bank's departments. The selection criteria have mostly to do with  identifying leadership abilities, which we intend to develop by offering proper training to the trainees . In my opinion the Romanian banking system has a lot of excellent specialists but does not have enough managers yet. I think it is our duty to invest in young people that can take over responsibilities in this field."
