In 2004 Raiffeisen Bank launched the largest post-1989 bond issue, totaling RON 138 million. Over 700 investors were attracted by this bond issue and nearly half the total sum was subscribed by international investors.
Raiffeisen Bank's bond issue doubled the size of the Romanian bond market, the total offer exceeding all municipal and corporate bonds issue until then.
